Rick Perry’s lesson from 2012 U.S. presidential bid: be prepared

Rick Perry, the former Texas governor who is making a second run for the Republican presidential nomination next year, says he took away a major lesson from his failed 2012 bid: be prepared. The Boy Scouts motto is something Perry knows well as an Eagle Scout, the highest attainable rank in the movement. "Until you've done it you don't even realize what a challenge it is - these broad array of issues that you just have to have more than just passing knowledge of," Perry said in an interview on "Fox News Sunday." Posted on Dave, this was a terrific litlte video, very well done. All I’ve known of your story thus far has been from those videos I’ve seen on the NHNE site. The story sounds like a very rich one and I’ll be talking to my wife about it to see if we want to read it. Good luck with the book.

Hey Guv’ner, in Oregon, we have that, it’s called the Tax Kicker !The State Revenue Office makes a prioectidn of revenue. If the actual tax collection for personal income tax exceeds that number by 2%, the excess is returned directly to taxpayers. We used to have one for business income taxes too, but the leges removed that one two years ago.The program is a burr under the saddle of the Left, which has repeatedly tried to remove it, but can’t, due to it’s being enshrined in the Constitution.
